Dogs are known for their loyalty. In fact, we have even seen some of them risk their lives to protect their human. These four-legged pets would really do anything to let you know how much they love you.

With that said, a dog from Japan named Hachiko, who is considered to be the most loyal dog in the world, broke a lot of hearts when he waited for his late owner at the train station for over nine years. He held his loyal vigil from May 1925 until his passing in March 1935.

Now, a dog in Mongolia is being dubbed as the modern-day Hachiko.

Just like Hachiko, the unnamed dog also patiently waited for his owner. He stayed in a roadside for over 80 days in the hopes to see his owner once again. Unfortunately, his owner had already passed away.

The most heartbreaking part of this is the fact that the dog stayed in the same exact spot where his owner had the accident that took his life. It is unknown if the dog was with the owner when the accident happened, or he just traced the smell to that spot and waited there for his owner to pick him up.

People began to worry for the dog as he was staying at a very busy street of Mongolia. Not only that there was a possibility that he would get hit by cars, but his health would also deteriorate as he would stay at the spot even when it’s raining.

The brokenhearted dog also refused to touch any food and water delivered to him. So people decided to place them meters away from his spot, hoping that he would drink and eat them.

Netizens were hoping that family members of the dog’s late owner would recognize the pooch and pick him up and bring him to a much safer place.
