To make vegetables more enticing, a mother from Melbourne, Australia has found creative ways to make her son Jacob love and enjoy his food more. Laleh Mohmedi has an incredible talent to transform any kind of healthy snack into something of an eye candy.

She started out making Jacob’s breakfasts appetizing by forming a lion out of his pancakes and fruits. Of course, the kid was so attracted and fascinated with the idea. From there, Laleh established Jacob’s Food Diaries.

I have always been a strong advocate in healthy organic eating for children. Last May, I decided to turn Jacob’s spelt pancakes into a lion. He absolutely loved it and it progressed from there.

Since then, Jacob has asked his mom to do different kinds of characters – from his favorite movie creatures and book protagonists, to toys he loves and much, much more.

Laleh, on the other hand, gladly takes on the requests and spends about 30 minutes to prepare his meals using anything she has in the kitchen such as lentils, spinach, egg whites, and peanut butter among many others.

Certainly, Jacob likes to help his mom. Laleh explained:

He definitely has to get involved — and by involved I mean sit on the kitchen bench and ask me what I am doing about 100 times! He sits there with his chopping board and plastic knife cutting — or trying to — pieces of fruit and vegetables.

Laleh documents every meal she prepares on her Instagram page, which now has thousands of followers.

The endless beauty of nature, an expansive imagination, and a passionate heart can become powerful tools of inspiration. All are meant to bring warmth and lightness to the heart of those who witness it. And sometimes, those touched by it experience a kind of magic like no other.

A magical forest in Overland Park, Kansas was brought to life by these three things. Popularly known as the “Firefly Forest,” the forest trail in Overland Park became a highly visited place after mysterious “gnome houses” first appeared.
