Heartless TV Prank Made a 13-year-old Girl Believe She Would Be Reunited with Long-lost Mom
Autumn Allen, a rising star in Cambodia, has not seen her mother since she was 6 years old.
The 13-year-old girl thought she would finally be reunited with her long-lost mom after revealing her story on the local talk show Penh Chet Ort (Like It or Not).
However, her dream to reconnect with her mom in the show didn’t happen. Apparently, the hosts of the talk show were pulling a prank on the clueless girl.
Allen thought her estranged mother would emerge from backstage, but Choup Rolin, a cross-dressing comedian, came out instead.
The producers of the show were slammed for the insensitive stunt they pulled on the young girl. Since then, the network has issued an apology to Allen.
Despite the controversy, Allen is looking forward to reunite with her mother someday.
This is Autumn Allen, an American singer based in Cambodia. She was invited to guest in Penh Chet Ort (Like It Or Not) for a Mother’s day episode.
A tearful Allen shared how she got separated from her mother who stayed in the US when she and her father moved to Cambodia when she was only 6 years old.
It looks like the producers of the show are about to grant Allen’s wish to reunite with her mom.
So they decided to call out the rising star’s mom.
Sadly, they were just pranking the clueless girl. A cross-dressing comedian emerged from backstage instead of Allen’s mom.
“What are you thinking, did you think it was real?” asked one of the hosts. “I don’t know,” Allen nervously replied.
