Stunning Oil Paintings That Are So Realistic You’d Think They Were Photographs
In the world of art, there are bad artists, there are good artists, and then there are those who are extraordinarily fantastic it’s hard to believe they’re even human.
Yigal Ozeri is on that level.
Like seriously! His stuff is sooo great your eyes will fool you into thinking you’re staring at a photograph when it’s actually an oil painting.
Ozeri, an Israeli painter now based in New York, specializes in “large-scale cinematic portraits of young women in vast transcending landscapes,” according to his website.
His site further tells us:
“His near photo-realistic oil paintings convey the spirit of his subjects in a grand array of natural settings: from abundant rain forests to dreary deserts. Thousands of tiny brushstrokes animate his lifelike paintings, giving way to a remarkable realism, distinct beauty, and seductive power. Ozeri seizes fleeting moments and gives them life. As a result, the viewer is compelled to gaze into the allegorical domain between reality and fantasy.”
We, of course, couldn’t help but agree. This guy’s masterpieces are the type that would make your jaw drop and, if you’re into arts yourself, throw your paintbrushes in frustration knowing you do not have the slightest chance of coming close to his greatness. This guy is an art god!
Scroll down and see for yourself:
Well does this look like a painting to you?
How about this one?
Or this one, maybe?
Well, that’s exactly the point!
Clearly, Yigal Ozeri’s talent is out of this world!
His masterful strokes and attention to details create unbelievably lifelike images.
No wonder he is considered among the best painters in the world today.
His paintings have been featured in solo exhibits in different countries such as Bologna, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Toronto, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, France, Denmark, and Munich.
His work is also included on the cover and in the book ‘Photorealism and the Digital Age’.
