This Pizza Bikini Costs $10,000 But You Can’t Swim Wearing It

Drop that old two-piece swimsuit. Now you can wear your favorite pizza on the beach! However, you might need to prepare your wallet for that because a pair costs $10,000.

This “mouthwatering” pizza bikini which they call “Pizza-Kini” is launched by Villa Italian Kitchen in celebration of the National Bikini Day. There is no fabric or a single thread – and yes, it is completely edible.

A pair of edible Pizza-Kini costs $10,000.

In an interview with HuffPost, a representative of the restaurant group explained about the staggering prize of their newest product:

“The Pizza-Kini was custom fit to our model so there was no need for any fabric to be included. The custom fitting is why the price tag is so high, we want to ensure the Pizza-Kini is perfectly fit to the body it’s on so it stays in place. We use a pizza dough braiding that goes around the butt and waist of the model, baked in to the pizza slices, holding the suit together.”

Long story short, a lot of detail, meticulous and time consuming work is needed to make a pair. Thus, the price tag.

The Pizza-Kini is made with the freshest ingredients, including homemade, hand-braided dough, sauce made from fresh California tomatoes, 100-percent whole milk mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni. However, it has a short shelf life. The Pizza-Kini can be only kept for a week provided it don’t get sandy and you keep it away from the water.

Theoretically, it might be possible to swim with the bikini for short periods but Villa Italian Kitchen recommends to keep it away from the water due to its fragility.

Well, if you still want to take a bite after wearing it, be sure to keep it from dirt, and “maybe take a shower first,” a representative of the group added.
