  • American rapper Kanye West has announced he will be running as United States president in the upcoming November 2020 elections.
  • His wife Kim Kardashian and his friend Elon Musk have both expressed support.
  • If West’ candidacy pushes through, he will be competing against President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden.

As if 2020 couldn’t get any crazier, recent news tells us that Kanye West has officially announced that he will be running for president in the upcoming United States elections. And he’s getting some big time support, as early as now!

The popular rap artist is set to challenge President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden in the November 2020 polls. West has always been a vocal supporter of Trump.

The self-proclaimed “greatest artist God ever created” is setting his sights on the White House.

In a Twitter post, West wrote:

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.”

Kim Kardashian soon reacted to the tweet, backing her husband’s big decision in a somewhat subtle way.

Several after the announcement, Kardashian retweeted West’ post and added an American flag emoji.

Meanwhile, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk also backed Yeezy’s presidential bid, assuring him of his “full support.”

Of course, some of the artist’s fans would be quick to point out that this wasn’t the first time that West expressed his desires to run for the country’s top position.During the 2016 Video Music Awards, he went on an epic rant and then declared his presidential bid for the 2020 elections.

People had mixed reactions at the time, with some dismissing the announcement probably wasn’t a serious one. Four years later, it looks like he might really be dead serious about it as he tweets about his presidential plans again on July 4, Independence Day.
