Dog Owners Warned After Razor Blade Found Hidden Inside Tennis Ball
Dog owners are being warned to be on their guard after a tennis ball with a razor blade inside was found at a park. Police have now launched an investigation into what the person who found the dangerous item believes was meant to target dogs.
The shocking incident happened in Lyme Park near to Stockport in Greater Manchester. The owner of the pet took to Facebook to share that the blade was placed inside the tennis ball on purpose.

An excerpt of the post read:
“This ball containing a new razor blade inside was picked up by my dogs in the reeds adjacent to the Knott car park at the far end of Lyme Park. “
The pet owner shared that the tennis balls were doctored, which is a clear proof that those who did it had an intention to hurt dogs. She said that her dogs were carrying and chewing the seemingly innocent ball back to the car when they discovered the blade.
To send a warning to other pet owners, the uploader shared the shocking story on the Stockport Crime Watch Facebook page. The incident was reported to both the local police as well as the park rangers.

Netizens immediately shared their dismay over the dangerous incident. Some said that their dogs regularly find stray balls and they allow them to play with the toy without any hesitation. But after reading the post, they will probably have to think twice in the future.
Understandably, many were upset with the fact that there are people out there who would harm dogs. Sure, not everyone is a pet lover, but that doesn’t mean that they should go out of their way to hurt them in a barbaric way.
