Touching Chinese Ad Encourages Busy Parents To Spend More Time With Their Kids

Damn those invisible ninjas cutting some onions again!

This heartbreaking advertisement from China has been making rounds on the internet lately. The short 1-minute clip shows a little girl who, like most kids, really wants to spend more time with her father.

The video begins with a father standing in front of a cash point and opening his wallet which contains a photo of his wife and daughter. This part establishes that yes, the father is miles away from his family – or is at least spending too much time on his work.

This touching Chinese ad has caught the attention of netizens across the world.

The mom sadly replies “Daddy is busy, sorry sweetheart” and then we see a montage of father-and-daughter moments as imagined by the kid.

Honestly, this one tugged at my heartstrings.

The video ends with a powerful message that said:

“Childhood is only experienced once in a lifetime. Daddy I just want you by my side.”

According to The Mirror, the ad was conceptualized after a survey in China confirmed that around 70% of parents born in the 1980s are not spending quality time with their children today.

Conducted by China’s New Weekly, the saddening survey found out that 9% of parents take care of their children full time while only 76% spend time with their children after working hours and on weekends.

“In family relationships,” renowned religious leader Dieter Uchtdorf once said “love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time. Taking time for each other is the key for harmony at home.”

Man Runs Across America Like Forrest Gump, Proposes To Girlfriend At Finish Line

Well that’s a better ending, compared to the movie.

A man who wants to make a difference has finally fulfilled his wish of running across America, just like Forrest Gump. While Tom Hanks’ beloved character in the the eponymous movie did not have a happy ending as the love of his life, Jenny (Robin Wright), perished, Rob Pope chose to add a heartwarming twist to his real-life version of the movie after reaching the finish line.

For the 39-year old man, running across America is in no way just a copycat of Hanks’ iconic movie character. After all, his mother once told him that he must do one thing in his life to make a difference in the world.

It was a mother’s dying wish to see her son graduate from high school.

While a high school graduation is a moment that any parent looks forward to, not everybody is fortunate to witness their children donning a graduation gown and cap while walking across the stage to get their diploma. Hence, a 19-year old son had to bring his graduation rites to the hospital so that his terminally-ill mother could witness the momentous event.

It was in 2015 when Stephanie Northcott was diagnosed with cancer. While she was given 10 months to live by her doctors after the diagnosis, she was able to beat the odds and live much longer. However, it did not mean that she was off the hook.

Friends Bring Prom To Girl’s Home After Refusing To Attend The Event Due To Burned Face

We all need the kind of friends that she has!

The adage “If the mountain can’t go to Muhammed, then Muhammed must go to the mountain” was once again put into practice when the friends of a 15-year old girl organized a prom for her at home after she refused to attend the school event following an accident. Without question, true friends don’t allow one another to be left in misery.

Korryn Bachner, a 15-year old student from Illinois, was at a bonfire at the latter part of April this year when an unfortunate incident she did not see coming changed her life forever: A bonfire explosion badly burned her face after someone poured gasoline on the fire.

While the incident injured 12 other people, it was Bachner who suffered the most as more than 90 percent of her face was damaged, forcing her to be hospitalized for almost two weeks after the incident.
