Family Cat Scares A Huge Wild Bear Away

Cats are wonderful creatures. They’re extremely adorable and spending time with them is a guaranteed way to decrease your stress levels.

But did you know that they can also protect you and your family from potential harm? While others would have you believe that cats are lazy pets who only eat and sleep all the time, we can assure you that it’s an entirely different story with our furry friend right here.

This video tells us about 2-year old Nani, the cat of a family living in Anchorage, Alaska. She was just lounging around as usual when she noticed a black bear approaching the family’s residence.

The cute Savanna cat rose up and put on a brave face.

With a sliding door between the two animals, the tiny feline pounced at the glass to scare the huge black bear who was trying to sniff at the door. As a result, the bear immediately ran away.

As you can see, a wild animal was scared off the porch by a domestic pet. Now that’s a story that would have been very hard to believe but fortunately, we’ve got the video to prove it.

Darlis Elliot uploaded the clip on YouTube and it immediately gained millions of views from netizens across the world.

In an interview, Elliot said that Nani is actually an “afraidy-cat most of the time.” He further goes on saying “I don’t know what got into her. She probably wouldn’t have lunged if we weren’t standing right behind her.”

Thanks to the Savannah cat, the family has been spared from real danger.
