If you’re someone who hates spiders, then a scenario like this would be a total nightmare for you.

In a Twitter post that has since gone viral, we learn about a mother from Sydney, Australia who found dozens of creepy crawlies coming out of a wall crack in her daughter’s room. As anyone can imagine, she wasn’t exactly thrilled about the discovery!

One of her friends shared the photos on Twitter and the post eventually garnered a lot of attention online.

As it appears, those creatures are actually huntsman spiders.

One of the commenters wrote:

“Bloody hell… Australia is a horrifying place at times.”

Another pointed out:

“They’re bigger than the tiny babies I’ve seen. You can see how big they are by the window.”

And yes, the sheer size plus the number of these spiders can totally freak anyone out, especially those who are arachnophobic.

A video was also posted online to prove that the discovery was real and not ‘Photoshopped’ as some netizens claimed.

Well fortunately for the house owner, huntsmen spiders are not considered dangerous “despite their often large and hairy appearance,” according to the official website of the Australian Museum.

“As with most spiders, they do possess venom, and a bite may cause some ill effects,” the site further tells us. “However, they are quite reluctant to bite, and will usually try to run away rather than be aggressive. In houses they perform a useful role as natural pest controllers.”
