Lighthouses are brilliant structures that have served as an excellent guide for ships for years as they help them travel the seas safely.

These majestic buildings have become an important part of history. They’ve been a subject of various literary pieces as well as wonderful tales from history.

In the past, lighthouses were usually manned by an employee, making sure they guide mariners on their sea voyage. The lights used in these buildings have changed greatly ever since. Before, wood pyres were used to produce the light at the top of the building. Candles were also used back then with the help of concave mirrors. But with modern technology, all that has changed.

But that doesn’t mean that there are no longer traces of lighthouses built from a couple of centuries back. In fact, some still stand tall today and they fascinating stories that never fail to captivate tourists.
