Whole grains such as oats and brown rice are low-glycemic food that don’t spike up your blood sugar. Sadly, white bread, white flour, high-fructose corn syrup are high-glycemic which can cause a bad breakout. Avoid high sugar foods and increase your intake of low sugar foods if you want to decrease the number of zits on your face.

#4. Olive Oil

This kitchen staple has been found to decrease photoaging in some patients. Photoaging is skin damage because of light. Olive oils helps prevent the effects of photoaging, aka wrinkles, and it also keeps your skin looking young and fresh.

Sardines and salmon that contain omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids help reduce inflammation and swelling of the skin. Omega-3 may also reduce therisk of certain cancers.
