‘The simple things are the great ones.’ Another simple invention leaving a lasting mark and making a big difference to millions of people are sandals invented by Kenton Lee. ‘The Shoe That Grows’  as how it is called, aims to help children living in extreme poverty all over the world.

This one of a kind invention grows 5 sizes and lasts for at least 5 years. It can adjust and expand which can grow with a child. This idea was realized by the great inventor himself when he visited Kenya in 2007. The Shoe That Grows can fit a child from kindergarten to 9th Grade with its 2 practical sizes–small and large.

‘There are over 300 million children who do not have shoes.  And countless more with shoes that do not fit.’–The Shoe That Grows

Children without shoes are more vulnerable to injuries and parasitic infections and this is where The Shoe That Grows comes in. As they promote the health and well-being of every child, they also want to make sure that kids are always provided with shoes that fit.

After Kenton Lee saw a girl whose shoes were too small in Kenya.
