A 5-year-old Chinese girl showed off her mind-blowing ability to put animals into a state of trance with just the touch of her hand.

Han Jiaying showcased her unique talent during her performance on “Amazing Chinese”, the country’s answer to the worldwide phenomenon “Britain’s Got Talent”.

The young girl was able to put five creatures including a dog, a lizard, a rabbit, a chicken, and a frog into sleep in a matter of seconds.

She did this by simply flipping the animals on their back and stroking their stomach.

However, the dog and the frog woke up in the middle of the performance and started moving around. Jiaying quickly fixed the situation by caressing the creatures for a few more minutes.

The animals seemed to be lying asleep on their backs until Jiaying shouted, waking all the animals simultaneously.

According to experts, the animals behaved in that manner as a result of natural reflex called “tonic immobility” or “apparent death”.

When exposed to an external threat such as a predator, some animals give the impression of being temporarily paralyzed.

Experts revealed that humans can instigate tonic mobility by gently restraining the animal. In Jiaying’s case, she did it by putting the animals on their side or back.
