Authorities Raid Unhygienic Factory that Manufactures Fake Coca-Cola Products
Drinking the beverage may kill you, eventually.
Several disturbing photos circulated online about a factory in Pakistan that allegedly manufactured fake Coca-Cola products. The authorities arrested four suspects when they raided the plant and found numerous, deadly imitations of the company’s world-famous beverages.
The scoundrels reproduced the drinks using toxic chemicals and concocted them under revolting, unhygienic conditions, reports say.
What’s more alarming was that the crooks used the company’s exact logos and bottles, and supplied the refreshments in the markets of Lahore, Sheikhupora, and Gujranwala.
The specific quantity of counterfeit beverages that the suspects were able to distribute is unknown.
Health authorities have reminded us about the effects of drinking carbonated soft drinks. They emphasized how the fizzy liquid drains our bodies of vital nutrients such as calcium and zinc, and how much sugar it contains. But, what these charlatans did was far more perilous to the health of those who unknowingly consumed their bogus merchandise. They tricked them into ingesting poison into their bodies. Indeed, such individuals have one goal in mind: to earn money in any way they can, regardless if they’ll hurt or kill anyone during the process.
As expected, many people were infuriated by the news and the photos have gone viral since they were released online.
