In our lifetime, we will meet hundreds of people and some of them may even become our friends. Yet, there will only be a handful—or even just one—who’ll be as true and as loyal to us.
Your background or your status in life won’t matter because your best friend will accept you no matter who you are or where you came from. Whether you both are compatible in every way or the exact opposites, you can always count on that person to understand, love, and just be there for you. A true friend will stick by you through thick and thin.
It’s always inspiring to hear stories that show us the true meaning of friendship, especially if it’s as pure and unique as this pair’s relationship.
This monkey and this duck grew up together.
Despite coming from a totally different species, they bonded and simply became best friends.
But, like most friendships, theirs was tested.
The monkey was reportedly playing when it chanced upon a live wire. It got caught and started screaming in pain. Hearing the poor monkey’s desperate cries, the duck immediately came to its rescue. However, it got entangled as well.
Sadly, both loving animals died on the spot.
The owner of these two extraordinary friends couldn’t help but cry when he saw his precious pets’ tragic fate.
Although this was a heartbreaking story, the friendship they shared was indeed true. Don’t you agree? Some of us rarely meet a type of friend who’s ready to sacrifice his or her life for us. So if you do have this kind of best friend, treasure and love them as much as they value you.

This Turtle Glows! It’s the First Bioflourescent Reptile Ever Discovered
A glowing hawkbill sea turtle is the first biofluorescent reptile ever discovered.
Earlier this year, marine molecular biologist David Gruber of the City University of New York and his team were filming small sharks and coral reefs in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. They had probably expected it to be a "routine" exploration. However, they were pleasantly shocked when they spotted a "glowing" hawkbill sea turtle.
The discovery was made back in July, but the footage of the turtle was only released this week. This is understandable as it probably had to be validated by several experts. Let's admit it, a "glowing" turtle is something out of a sci-fi flick.
Well, the turtle is definitely real....
Two Abused Elephants Find Enduring Friendship at a Sanctuary
Years of abuse didn’t prevent these two elephants from giving unconditional love to each other.
Mae Perm and Jokia are two elephants who share tragic histories. Both elephants were rescued from the logging industry where they were subjected to exploitation and harsh conditions. Their heartbreaking experiences had caused them both physical and mental damages.
Luckily, both were rescued and were given a better chance in life at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Elephant Nature Park is home to rescue elephants across three countries since 1992.
The two had been best of friends since entering the park. In fact, Mae Perm, who was the first rescue elephant in the sanctuary, takes care of her blind buddy....
