Thai Hospital Offers Instant Six-Pack Abs Without the Hard Work

Well, worry no more because a hospital in Thailand is now offering a no-fuss instant solution.

A hospital in Bangkok, the Masterpiece Hospital, is now offering ‘instant six-packs’ – an aesthetically-ideal abdomen without the hassle of working out and leaning down.

It may sound pretty simple to cut corners this way but you might want to check out the pictures first. However, be warned that if you are squeamish, you would not want to see this.

Unlike the typical cosmetic ab implants where people who are already lean get silicone implants popped in to create a fake six pack, Masterpiece Hospital is offering a different technique called ‘abdominal etching’.

Through this method, surgeons etch out ‘abs’ on patients’ stomachs, removing some of the fat around the abdomen. According to University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine lead researcher Tarik M. Husain, the method involves “power-assisted” targeted liposuction which creates a longer-lasting and more natural look than fillers.

A recent article in “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,” the medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, concluded the procedure is “a safe and effective method” and the group at the Masterpiece hospital says that the surgery doesn’t hurt. However, photos showing the recovery doesn’t look that simple.

Raweewat Maschamado, Masterpiece hospital CEO and surgeon, said:

“We’ve been doing this for about three to four years now. We get anywhere from 20 to 30 customers requesting a six-pack every month.”

Apparently, most of the hospital’s patients are lean celebrities and folks who work out regularly but find it hard to carve a six-pack out of stubborn belly fats, so they opt for the THB120,000 (approx £2,900) procedure to speed things up.

He continued:

“In order to naturally get a six-pack, one needs to work out as well as get lean. Most of our clients come in with a lot of muscle, they just want to save themselves months of leaning down.”

Masterpiece Hospital’s Facebook page claims that the hospital is licensed and registered and is also equipped to do all manner of treatments, including nose jobs, eyelid lifts, skin procedures, and others.

“We are a licensed, legitimate hospital, unlike many other cosmetic surgery clinics around Thailand. Which means, we have access to anesthetic and quality medicines,” they stated.
