Teacher Sparks Outrage After Writing ‘Absolutely Pathetic’ On Young Student’s Homework

The father is “beyond frustrated” and netizens want her fired from her job!

One furious dad has just had it with his child’s school teacher. Chris Piland of Pennsylvania said he is “beyond frustrated” because of how teacher Alyssa Rupp Bohenek treated his son, who is in second grade.

In a Facebook post, Chris shared how the boy’s teacher wrote “absolutely pathetic,” in red ink and with a sad face, on his son’s homework. Naturally, the father didn’t like it and he eventually shared his frustration on social media.

Chris wrote:

“My son Kamdyn’s teacher has been so rude to him and myself all year he comes home with this and I am beyond frustrated that someone would write this on a childs work such great motivation.”

The activity required the student to answer as many math questions as he can in 3 minutes. As shown in the photo, the educator wrote “Absolutely pathetic he answered 13 in 3 min! Sad.”

Netizens immediately bashed the teacher for what she did.

One commenter on Chris’ post said:

“Looks like a teacher who’s failing to me – both as a human being AND a teacher.”

Another pointed out:

“Just because this child couldn’t finish doesn’t mean they don’t know the material. Some just don’t process things as quickly as others and that’s o.k. This teacher should really not be teaching. Her nasty, condescending comment should be addressed by the administration immediately because if she does this with one student, there is likely to be others.”

The post later went viral and it didn’t take long before an online petition was created, calling Valley View school district to take action regarding the matter.

According to reports, the school board “is now understood to be investigating.”

In an interview with FOX 10, school superintendent Rose Minniti said:

“It’s a personnel issue and the results of that are not going to be dictated by social media. It’s going to be dictated by the facts and evidence.

“As always with everything, we’re going to try to do what’s best for the students and what we need to do for the employee under investigation.”
