Pilot Captures Magnificent Images from the Cockpit and They Will Blow You Away

While it’s not always a joy to travel by plane, particularly if you’re in for a long haul flight, there are good things about it, too. Aside from the lovely flight attendants and the free liquor, the stunning view from above can make a lengthy trip worthwhile.

Once the plane hits several thousand feet in altitude, we are greeted by skies so clear and blue, and clouds so fluffy you’d just want to die. Well, if there isn’t any storm, that is. But you see, nature was made in such a manner that everything about it is beautiful – even storms and lightning.

Santiago Borja-Lopez, a pilot who works for Ecuador Airlines, documented the beauty of lightning and storm clouds by taking photos of the magnificent view from the cockpit and posting them on his website and Instagram account. BoredPanda compiled some of these amazing shots – let’s all take a look:
