15 Thought-Provoking Illustrations That Accurately Depict The Modern World

Artist Steve Cutts creates illustrations that show us what it's like to live in the modern world.

One glance at the extraordinary work of Steve Cutts and you can instantly tell that he’s got some heavy message to share. His quirky artworks take on serious topics such as capitalism, consumerism, materialism, and many other ills that are prevalent in today’s society. You will be prompted to think deeply about the roles that fast food, money, social media, and technology, dominantly play in our lives.

Back when he was employed as an illustrator under an advertising agency, Cutts have worked closely with various clients including Coca-Cola, Google, Reebook, Sony, and many others. In 2012 though, he started to venture on his own by working freelance. The move proved to be worthwhile since it gained him greater popularity in the art community. He currently maintains a website and a YouTube account where he shares artworks and animation.

When asked by Featured Magazine about his inspiration for his unique pieces, he responded:

“I like to make animations about life and society in general, so there tends to be a message in most of them. The general insanity of mankind is an almost endless pot of inspiration!”
