Teen Complains After Mom Cuts Monthly Allowance From $5,000 to $1,000

“I feel like a peasant. I can't live like this anymore," says the teen who owns many luxury bags and shoes.

Nicolette Gray is merely 15 years old but she’s living an extravagant lifestyle most of us could only dream of. She’s got the most expensive shoes and bags plus she receives $5,000 every month as her allowance.

She is, however, really furious after her mother decided to decrease the amount to $1,000 per month. According to her, she is being forced to live “like a peasant”.

Nicolette Gray, a teen from Beverly Hills, California argues she “can’t live off” with a $1,000 allowance.

During an appearance in Dr Phil’s TV show, the 15-year-old girl said:

“I want my mom to understand that I can’t live off $1,000 a month, and I grew up on a certain lifestyle. She can’t just take that away from me immediately.”

Nicolette has her own nanny, a driver, and some personal trainers.

“It’s the only life I’ve ever known,” Nicolette admitted.

Nina, on the other hand, shared she gave Nicolette credit cards without limits at a “very young age.”

In some months, the teen would have bills amounting to $10,000, although she already had her $5,000 allowance.

Nicolette loves spending money on expensive things – such as Chanel wallets and handbags that cost around $5,000 each.

Meanwhile, this Céline Micro Luggage Tote Bag has a price tag of $3,000.

The teen shared:

“I keep it on a chair because it’s just so special. I literally think of it as my own child.”

She definitely has a thing for luxury items – like this $1,000 Valentinos sandals with gold studs.

“I know I am a spoiled brat, but I enjoy the lifestyle, you know? People are going to hate on me, but they wish they were me,” the teen quipped.

Eventually, she decided to contact Dr. Phil’s help because she wants her mom to realize she “needs at least $2,500” a month.

Nicolette argued:

“I feel like a peasant. I can’t live like this anymore. I’m always out of money. If you ask me, I think my mom should be giving me at least $2,500 a month just to cover my basic expenses.”

“I’m a princess. I’m definitely worth the price tag,” she also remarked.

Nina, a single mother who works 6 days every week, thought it was a good idea that her daughter got in touch with Dr. Phil.

Through his help, she believes maybe the youngster will be able to change her bad spending habits – which she recognizes is also because of her own fault.

“I feel like a peasant,” says teen with $5,000 monthly allowance.

Nicolette claims she was “never loved” by her mother.

In tears, she said:

“She says that she cares about me but still, as a child, I was never loved. She just gave me money.”

To teach her a lesson, Dr Phil sent Nicolette to volunteer at a homeless shelter.

“It was a culture shock and I was scared at first,” the teen confessed.

Overall, however, Nicolette said she’s grateful for the experience to help feed the poor.

“Give her more love and less money,” Dr. Phil encouraged Nina.
