Retired Marine Finally Gets Reunited with the K9 Who Saved His Life in Afghanistan.

Retired Marine Corporal waited for three years to reunite with his K9 partner.

Countless numbers of dogs risk their own lives alongside the military service men. They are the military and contract working dogs who serve as front-liners, sniffing out explosives, drugs, and weaponry among many others, to protect their human partners and the lives of thousands of innocent people. Imagine the dangers they face as they do this every day. These courageous men and their dogs fight fo the country until such time when they have to retire, or if sadly they get injured and, therefore, have to leave the service. When that time comes, most military men get separated from their loyal K9 companions.

Marine Corporal Seth Hill and his K9 partner, Bbazy, a 9-year-old Belgian Malinois, were separated after their two-year service in Afganistan. Bbazy was able to save not only the retired Corporal’s life, but the lives of least 30 more Marines during their service. However, he soon had to leave Bbazy, who was suffering a bad leg infection, at an air base in Texas.

“Honestly, I didn’t know if it was going to be the last time I saw her, I really didn’t”, says the retired Marine.

Then after three long years of waiting, the two gets reunited, thanks to the help of Mission K9 Rescue, a non-profit organization run by Kristen Maurer, Louisa Kastner, and Bob Bryant. The organization helps retiring and retired military and contract working dogs get another shot at living life. This time, instead of sniffing out bombs, Bbazy will get to play, rest, and enjoy a peaceful, loving home with her human partner.
