Gang of Bikers Has A Mission To Save Animals from Abusive Pet Owners

They may look tough and scary but they have a soft spot for animals.

  • Rescue Ink is a non-profit organization with the mission to save abused and neglected animals.
  • Considered by many as “superheroes,” the biker gang receives around 250 calls each day from concerned citizens asking for help.

When we hear about biker gangs, we usually think of big dudes in tattoos, wearing tight leather and bandanas as they ride their motorcycles together. But would you imagine them as animal-loving guys aiming to do some good?

That’s exactly what biker group Rescue Ink is doing. In a Happiest.net feature, we learn that this non-profit organization is getting out there to save animals from abuse.

Meet the biker gang against animal cruelty!

For example, the gang has jumped into action to stop an illegal dog fighting ring. On top of that, they’ve also saved different kinds of animals ranging from chickens and pigs, to horses and yes, their list even includes a boa constrictor!

The group’s official mission statement reads:

“Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law — that’s what our lawyers tell us to say — to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds.”

Because of this, some people even consider the gang as “superheroes” and they get about 250 calls each day from concerned citizens asking for their help.

And the group remains “strong and dedicated” to fulfilling their mission.

According to Happiest, the group is composed of people from different walks of life and not everyone of them are full-time bike riders. Some of them are former cops while others are currently lawyers and weightlifters, among others. They are also a diverse collective in terms of age and gender.

In 2009, National Geographic featured the group’s efforts in a television series called Rescue Ink Unleashed.

So yes, folks. These group of bikers may look tough and scary but they, like most of us, actually have a soft spot for animals.

Meanwhile, anyone interested to volunteer or get in touch with them may obtain the details from the official Rescue Ink website.
