Philippine President Duterte Criticized For Kissing Woman On The Lips Onstage

The crowd cheered on as Duterte kissed a married woman.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is in hot water once again after his recent visit to South Korea. While speaking to an audience on June 3, Duterte called a woman to come up on stage to join him.

The famous president who was in Seoul for three days for his meeting with the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) community then convinced the lady, who has confirmed that she’s married to a Korean, to kiss him on the lips.

The crowd cheered over Duterte's playful behavior.

As reported, Duterte invited two Philippine women to join him onstage and give them a free copy of the book titled, Altar of Secrets: Sex, Politics, and Money in the Philippine Catholic Church. After which, he gave one of the women a hug and a kiss on the cheek and then turned his attention to the other one and asked her for a kiss on the lips.

The woman can be heard giggling and laughing nervously as she is visibly starstruck being near the Philippine president.

She was excited to be standing beside Duterte.

The president then leaned forward and the two kissed quickly on the lips.

The woman, later identified as Bea Kim, defended the kiss and said it had no malice. However, the same thing cannot be said for those who saw it as a sexist and misogynistic behavior from Duterte.

Women’s Rights group Gabriela is one of those who heavily criticized Duterte’s recent behavior. In a statement, the group said:

“His repeated acts of machismo are meant as entertainment to hide the reality of his rapidly slipping popularity due to the issues of extrajudicial killings, the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law and big-time corruption scandals now plaguing his rule.”

Philippine senator Lisa Hontiveros, meanwhile, hoped people would go easy and won’t judge the woman. She, however, didn’t reserve her comments about the president saying, “President Duterte acted like a feudal king who thinks that being the president is an entitlement to do anything that he pleases.”

Kim Jong-un Brought Personal Toilet To Protect His Stools During Sit-Down With Trump

Kim Jong-un took “keeping one’s privacy” to the next level.

Kim Jong-un took “keeping one’s privacy” to the next level. North Korean officials made sure that he will have a safe arrival for his sit-down with President Donald Trump in Singapore for the Trump-Kim summit. To make this possible, they used two decoy airplanes to protect the Supreme Leader's stools. Yes, you read that right.

Bringing his own bodyguards and food supply is definitely nothing out of the ordinary. However, tagging a portable toilet along certainly dropped a lot of jaws. Kim's security team brought the bathroom fixture to Singapore in an effort to “deny determined sewer divers insights into the supreme leader's stools.”

The disease is suspected to be caused by infected fruit bats.

Several people in southern India have died after they have been infected with a virus that causes flu-like symptoms at first and develops into something more agonizing as the disease progresses. What is more alarming is that, according to health officials, the rare disease may even become a global epidemic if it is not contained.

Emergency measures are being taken in the southwestern state of Kerala in India after almost 50 people have been infected with the Nipah virus. While those infected only experience flu-like symptoms at the onset, the agony aggravates as the symptoms progress to encephalitis, a condition characterized by the swelling of the brain.
