Nostradamus — whose real name is Michel de Nostredame — was a 16th-century French philosopher. Aside from that, Nostradamus was also into occult sciences. In time, he gained fame for predicting events that would happen hundreds of years after his time. His predictions are compiled in the book, Les Prophecies (The Prophecies).
The first edition of Les Prophecies was published in 1555 with 353 quatrains. Then, its second edition came out in 1557 with an additional 289 verses. Finally, the third edition was printed in 1558 with 300 new quatrains.
Nostradamus gained fame for his predictions.
Nostradamus fans claim that he predicted events that changed the course of world history. Among those events are The Great Fire of London in 1666, the French Revolution in 1789, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and even the 9/11 Terror Attacks.
Nostradamus allegedly predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler.
As the US election culminated with Trump elected as the 45th President of the United States. Some people have come up with surreal theories linking Nostradamus’ predictions to Donald Trump. There are people who insist that Donald Trump is the Anti-Christ who will cause World War III. They usually cite the following verses:
The false trumpet concealing madness
will cause Byzantium to change its laws.
From Egypt there will go forth a man who wants
the edict withdrawn, changing money and standards.
The trumpet shakes with great discord.
An agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven:
the bloody mouth will swim with blood;
the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground.
Indeed, Arthur Evans — in the article “What are Presidential Election Predictions 2016 of Nostradamus?” — explained that believers think “the false trumpet” represents Trump who is supposedly “concealing his own madness.”
Byzantium is the name of the ancient city that eventually became present-day Istanbul, in Turkey. Earlier this month, Trump took an aggressive posture towards the country, which is now in chaos following a failed coup.
Evans went on to say, “Someone has betrayed him, so now, he is enraged. In the name of religion, he talks blood and ends up swimming in it. What is the land of ‘milk and honey’? It is, obviously, Israel — he’s described his intentions of being a ‘neutral broker’ between Israel and Palestine. The last line indicates to what he said about his big show of friendship and dirt he received in return for his efforts.”
Is Donald Trump the Anti-Christ that Nostradamus wrote about?
Of course, we don’t have to take this as gospel truth.
Did Nostradamus "see" Donald Trump centuries ago?
But, of course, people will choose what they want to believe.
