Complete with herbs, oils, and supplements!

  • Nathalia Silveira consulted a nutritionist to come up with Theo’s food plan, which consists of a totally raw diet of meats, vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
  • She spends only between $40 to $60 per month, which she says is less than what she would spend on good kibble.
  • She noticed benefits like an increase in vitality in Theo, less hair loss and an improvement in his oral health.

The typical dog owner who spoils her pooch will buy the best dog kibble on the market, which will likely cost her plenty. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the dog healthy. But this dog owner just took dog feeding into a whole new level – her pooch eats nothing but raw food PLUS puts him on a fasting regimen!

31-year-old Nathalia Silveira wants nothing but the best for her dog Theo, an adorable Golden Retriever, so she consulted a nutritionist to come up with the best diet for him.

Theo’s food plan consists of a totally raw diet of meats, vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Theo gets to dine on chicken feet, full raw fish, whole quails, and kidney and liver chunks. These are mixed with vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, cabbage, and red pepper.

He also eats fruits such as blackberries, strawberries, and kiwi. These are added with healthy oils, herbs, and vitamin supplements.

What about the budget, you ask. How much does Nathalia spend on Theo’s raw food meals? She says she spends only between $40 to $60 per month, as she gets her goods from the supermarket and the local butcher. She added that the costs are less than what she would spend on good kibble in many shops.

Nathalia insists that Theo’s health has improved extraordinarily since he started on this diet.

“Theo is my companion and I love him unconditionally. I believe feeding dogs real food is one of the best things you can do for them. I’ve noticed benefits like an increase in vitality in Theo, less hair loss and an improvement in his oral health,” she said.

“He’s even lost weight and his hair looks brighter.”

Aside from the diet, Nathalia also put Theo on intermittent fasting.

“Feeding them several times a day if just another form of humanization, since we feel bad seeing them not eating all day, although the body knows how to deal with it. I have noticed that during the day he doesn’t care if I don’t put food out, despite eating everything when I offer it.”

She said that Theo sometimes asks for food at night it his meals are taking a while to be ready. She found out that dogs are in the habit of hunting at night and eat their prey all at once, so she assumes that it was the reason for Theo’s preference.

Nathalia created an Instagram account for Theo, where she puts picture of his everyday life, including his meals and feeding tips for his followers.

Theo spends a lot of his days sunbathing, swimming, and walking with Nathalia at the beach.

She said that her dog “is calmer and happier since eating this way – even his feces is smaller and smells less.”
