Minneapolis Rioters Play Audio From The Purge: “Any And All Crime Will Be Legal For 12 Continuous Hours”

This is absolute chaos!

  • A viral Twitter audio captured the moment when rioters in Minneapolis blasted The Purge audio while burning a vehicle.
  • President Donald Trump has since condemned all the violence in the city, assuring that the US military is with Governor Tim Walz “all the way.”

The recent death of 46-year-old George Floyd, who was arrested and pinned down by police officers with one kneeling on his neck until he could no longer breathe, has triggered absolute chaos in Minneapolis. Not only did protesters call for justice but now the city is under civil disorder.

Case in point, a viral Twitter video shows us people burning vehicles while playing audio, from the American dystopian horror series The Purge, through a loud speaker. The clip, shared by independent journalist Andy Ngô, has since gone viral on social media, earning mixed reactions from netizens everywhere.

It’s absolute chaos in Minneapolis right now!

The audio said:

“Any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hour. Police, fire and emergency medical services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning at 7AM when The Purge concludes. Blessed be our new founding fathers and America, a nation reborn. May God be with you all.”

The rioters, in face masks, can be heard laughing in the background as the audio ended.

Watch the video here:

One Twitter user commented on the post, writing:

“The country is chaotic, led by a president of the United States who does not value skin color and personality of his people.”

Another pointed out:

“The rioters want the Purge but don’t understand what it means… Reality is extremely different from fiction and most of those cheering for an actual Purge would be finished within that 12-hour period.”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump later reacted to all the commotion, saying, “I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis.”

He also added:

“These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”

Twitter later tagged Trump’s tweet for violating Twitter Rules about glorifying violence.
