Man Attends Zoom Court With Username Buttf*cker 3000

“What kind of idiot logs into court like that?” the annoyed judge asked.

  • Judge Jeffrey Middleton of the St Joseph County District Court called out a guy for attending a virtual Zoom court under a profane username.
  • “What kind of idiot logs into court like that?” the judge asked.
  • The man, named Nathaniel Saxton, eventually apologized, blaming his sister for the embarrassing username.

A Michigan judge got upset after he spotted a man joining a Zoom court with an immodest username. As it appeared on the screen, the man had “Buttf***er3000” as his name during the virtual arraignment.

The incident happened last May 11, Tuesday. Chief Judge Jeffrey Middleton of the St. Joseph County District Court immediately called the guy out and asked about his real name – which turned out to be Nathaniel Saxton.

Judge Jeffrey Middleton was obviously annoyed by Nathaniel Saxton’s Zoom name.

“Your name’s not Butt f***er 3000?,” Middleton asked. “What kind of idiot logs into court like that? What’s your name again?”

Although obviously shocked, Saxton proceeded to deny that he typed “anything like that.” The judge, however, remained unconvinced and added, “I’m going to put you in the waiting room. You can sit in limbo for a while and think about what you call yourself online.”

A man can later be heard laughing in the background.

Upon his return, Saxton eventually apologized, saying it was his sister who set up his account.

“Your honor, if I may explain,” he said. “I think it was whenever I set up my Zoom account or whatever. Butt, um, F’er, is my iPhone pairing name for my Bluetooth speaker sir. It’s an inside joke. I’m embarrassed. I’m sorry.”

Court records indicated that Saxton has been charged with drug paraphernalia possession. According to Prosecutor John Barnes, Saxton was found with a used syringe with meth residues.

Initially, he pleaded not guilty but later admitted to the charges. Saxton was ordered to pay a $200 fine.
