Have you figured out what this little town actually is? Not yet? Okay well, click over to the next page…

Michael Paul Smith’s vintage town is actually built from custom miniature models.

He builds the models himself, meticulously crafting each and every detail.

For the cars and trucks, Michael uses Danbury Mint and Franklin Mint die cast models.

For the buildings and backgrounds, he uses resin-coated paper, styrene plastic, basswood, and other everyday objects.

To capture the perfect picture, Michael says the “perspective has to be JUST right…”

The artist-photographer also mentions that he doesn’t use Photoshop for the images.

Michael’s miniature vintage town went viral online and now his Flickr account has thousands of followers.
