Michael Jordan’s Golf Course Uses Drones To Deliver Snacks and Beer to Golfers

Expect nothing less from MJ.

  • With the coronavirus pandemic making social distancing mandatory, the golf course had to be extra creative in their food service and other amenities.
  • The Grove XXIII, which is located in Hobe Sound, Florida, opened in 2019 and boasts of incredible amenities for its invitation-only members.
  • Former tennis star Caroline Wozniacki uploaded a video of the drone in action, delivering beer to the golfers.

Feeling parched while you’re out on the golf course? You can always have drinks brought to you while you’re on the green, but if you’re at Michael Jordan’s private golf course, you will be in for an extra treat – your refreshments will be delivered to you not by a staff, but a drone.

Expect nothing less from the basketball legend, who makes sure that his luxury golf course, the Grove XXIII (the numerals stand for His Airness’ jersey number) is innovative and keeps up with the times.

With the coronavirus pandemic making social distancing mandatory, the golf course had to be extra creative in their food service and other amenities. So somebody in the team, or maybe Mike himself, thought of using drones to bring beers and snacks to golfers who are out in the green.

Former tennis star Caroline Wozniacki uploaded a video of the drone in action and Brendan Porath shared it via Twitter.

Kudos to the maneuvering qualities of the drone too, because the landing is just right and the beers weren’t threatening to fall off when the drone was up in the air.

The Grove XXIII, which is located in Hobe Sound, Florida, opened in 2019 and boasts of incredible amenities for its invitation-only members.

Within the 15,000 square feet futuristic clubhouse, there’s a men’s and women’s locker room, pro shop, dining room, and lounging areas.

NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin said that “the course was unbelievable.”

“There’s only 75 members. Hopefully to be 76 here in the next few weeks, so it was really an honor to be invited and be a member at such an exclusive place. It’s really new, just a few months old. It’s going to be fun to do for the next 20 to 30 years, as long as I’m able to play.”

Out on the course, there are golf carts that can go up to 35 mph and the caddies use scooters.
