How To Know You Stink Without Sniffing Your Armpit In Public

When the weather is warm, it’s easy to get sweaty and with that often comes bad odor. That’s a bummer especially when you’re in the public or you happened to meet the man you’re secretly in love with. When joining the crowds, though, you might be conscious about the odor that you can’t ignore. Is it you or is it someone else?

There are times when we need to sniff ourselves to make sure we’ve maintained a good smell amid the heat and sweat. It can be embarrassing but you have to take the risk to be sneaky to check if your smell is still acceptable or beyond horrible.

Although it’s easy to know if you already smell bad, sometimes other people are not aware. As explained in an article by LifeHacker, your nose might eventually become numb to the particular smell you have. As a result, even if you already have that awful smell of sweat, you might not realize it. People will then resort to sniffing themselves in public, but it turns out this is not the only way one will know about their body odor.

To know if you already stink without sniffing your armpit, you simply need to take a whiff of your surroundings and this will include your smell. As mentioned above, the nose might ignore your sweaty odor but if you let it take a break, it would sharply pick up the smell back. This can be achieved with the help of coffee.

Sniffing yourself in public can be a bit embarrassing.

You could smell really bad but not realize it.

“Coffee is a strong, single-scent component that gives the receptors in your nose a quick break from what it’s been smelling all day (you),” the article by Patrick Allan stated.

Coffee beans can help reset your sense of smell.

In other words, coffee resets your nose, which is why some perfume shops have them handy. It should be noted though that a 100 percent reset is not guaranteed.

Still, it would be a neat alternative than sniffing your armpit in public.
