Mom And 3 Children Found Dead At Home, Authorities Are Convinced It’s A Murder-Suicide

Apparently, the smiling mom has been sufffering from depression.

42-year-old Melbourne mom Katie Perinovic has been found dead at home, along with her three children Claire, Anna, and Matthew.
Authorities questioned husband and dad Tomislav Perinovic but later released him without charge.
Investigators revealed that the incident is likely a murder-suicide.

A quiet neighborhood in Melbourne has been left in shock after a mother and her three young children have been found dead in their home. The 42-year-old mom has been described by her neighbors as a “devoted mother” who always “had a smile on her face.”

According to authorities, it may be possible that the mother murdered her kids before taking her own life.

Tomislav Perinovic, Katie’s husband and father of the children, immediately contacted the emergency services. While authorities initially considered him as a person of interest, he has since been released without charge after being questioned.

The police said:

“Investigators do not believe the 48-year-old man was involved in the incident and police are not looking for anyone further in relation to the matter.
”Homicide Squad investigators have formed the preliminary view that the 42-year-old woman is responsible for all four deaths and on completion of their investigation, a report will be provided for consideration of the coroner.”

Devastated neighbors left letters and flowers outside the house.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Robert Hill described the tragic incident as “an incredibly heartwrenching experience for all concerned.”

“I know there will be many people in the community struggling to understand and come to terms with this tragedy,” Hill pointed out. “This has also been an incredibly difficult time for both the police and paramedics, who responded and attended the scene.”
