The world is a huge playground, and humans are like preschoolers who think that they know everything. But reality is, there are so many interesting facts about the world that most of us are not aware yet.

Take a plunge and get to know these interesting facts below:

#1. Sharks are older than trees.

Human first came into the world 200,000 years ago, and tress were discovered to exist 350 million years ago. These findings then indicated that sharks, which first appeared on Earth 400 million years ago, are older than most creatures in the world. However, these sharks are now endangered, with approximately 100 million sharks killed every year due to human interest.

#2. There are more molecules in a glass of water than there are glasses of water in the oceans of the Earth.

Because there are two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom per one molecule of water, a glass of water is said to contain more atoms than the number of glasses with water on Earth. There are roughly 9,600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (9.6 x 10^ 24) water molecules in single glass of water. To put it into figures, there are 10,000 times more atoms in a glass of water than there are glasses of water than can contain the oceans.

#3. There are 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms in one human body.

When these atoms fuse, they make up approximately 10 trillion cells in one human body alone. And these are just NORMAL body cells. The number of pathogenic cells is another thing…

#4. You can make a three-inch long nail from all the iron content of a human body.

The human body contains lots of minerals than can make other stuff. With the number of carbon in the body, one can obtain enough graphite than can make 9,000 pencils. Furthermore, conglomerating all the mineral in the body can earn $160 of scrap. This does not include scraping off the bone marrow, bones, tissues, and organs, which is said to cost roughly $45 million.

#5. Every person right now is travelling 1,100 mile per hour just by being on Earth.

The Earth, the galaxy, and the Milky Way are also travelling in unbelievable speed rates than one cannot possibly imagine how the universe can go round like that.

#6. The Blue Whale is probably the largest animal ever to live on Earth.

Blue Whales can grow as long as 100 feet, and can weigh equal to about 2,600 adult humans. They reached this incredible size by eating several tons of krill every day. Sadly, these giant creatures are on the verge of extinction, due to being hunted by humans. Blue whales can also be injured by fishing nets that have been discarded in the water, or by crashing into ships.

#7. Every person is a star (literally!)

After the happenings stated in the Big Bang theory, the earth was just made of helium and hygrogen. Elements started to form after the stars formed into what is described as 'nuclear fusion'. With this premise, it is then believed than every thing and every person on Earth came from the stars.

#8. A teaspoon of neutron star is heavier than all humans combined.

A neutron star is a remnant of the huge stars that exploded into supernovae. Although they are very little in size, they weigh approximately 1.5-3 times more than the sun. One teaspoon of this mighty star is around 10 million tons on a weighing scale on Earth.
