You would have a hard time believing these photos were captured by an iPhone camera

Who says you need an overly-expensive camera to be able to capture high quality photos?

The first and longest running iPhone photography competition that was founded in 2007 by Apple,inc. itself, iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) has announced the winners for this year’s competition.

IPPAWARDS has been celebrating the artistry of iPhone photographers since the iPhone first began to engage users worldwide. IPPAWARDS selects the very best shots among thousands of images submitted by iPhone photographers from more than 130 countries around the world.There were 19 categories in the 9th annual IPPAWARDS. iPhone Photographers represented countries all around the world including Australia, Brazil, China, Chile, France, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Grand Prize Winner Photographer of the Year Award winner receives an iPad Pro. The First, Second and Third Place Photographer of the Year Award winners will each receive an Apple Watch Sport. The first place winner in each category will be awarded a Gold Bar and the Second and Third place winners will each get a Palladium Bar from the most recognizable private gold mint in the world.
