These 7 Signs Will Warn You of An Impending Heart Attack

Read on and you just might save a loved one's life – or yours.

Perhaps no other disease is as much of a backstabber than the dreaded heart attack. It is a disease that can happen to anyone at any age due to different factors. On top of that, cardiovascular disease is also considered as among the most lethal because it claims millions of lives across the world per year.

Although a heart attack is usually sudden, there are certain signs you can look for long before it happens.

In movies, heart attacks are often depicted by a victim by clutching the chest and then dropping on the floor. Reality, however, can be much different than that and there are subtle indicators that will help you prevent the tragedy.

According to Diply, here are some red flags you should watch out for:

#1. Frequent heartburn, indigestion, and nausea

When you’re experiencing heartburn, indigestion, and nausea, those should serve as a warning for you. Heartburn when accompanies by vomiting is much riskier so never take it for granted.

#2. Anxiety attacks and insomnia

Your oxygen level will most likely decrease when you have a heart disease. As a result, that will affect your mood and you’ll have bouts with anxiety and insomnia.

#3. Irregular sweating

If you aren’t physically active but are often drenched in sweat, then you have to watch out. Take note of this particularly if the sweating lasts for more than a week.

#4. Extreme fatigue

That type of fatigue similar to what you feel when you’re stricken with flu is another indicator. This could last for weeks – or even months – and would usually get in the way of doing the simplest of tasks, such as walking up the stairs.

#5. Chest pains

Of course, heart problems often cause chest pains but sometimes, it is not a simple pain but you’ll feel burning or pressure. In some instances, the pain can also be felt on your left arm or through the back.

#6. Aches and pains

As mentioned above, pains can trigger anywhere aside from your chest. Along with that, you may also feel jaw, neck, and shoulder pains. Be cautious especially if the pain immediately goes away after a physical activity. Usually, the pain will linger if it is caused by exercise.

#7. Dizziness and shortness of breath

Shortness of breath and dizziness are also considered symptoms of an imminent heart attack. This often occurs because the heart has difficulties distributing oxygen to the rest of the body.

Should you encounter any of these signs, your best bet is to consult with your doctor.
