Grandma Runs Off With Pregnant Daughter’s Boyfriend, Saying “These Things Happen”

It sounds ridiculously unbelievable but yes, you’ve read that headline right. One grandmother from the UK decided to run away with her pregnant daughter’s boyfriend a day before she gave birth to their second child.

24-year-old Jess Aldridge is in shock and disbelief after her own mother 44-year-old Georgina Aldridge stole her partner just like that. She would later describe the act as the “ultimate betrayal,” pointing out that it had not only affected her much but also her dad.

According to Jess, she and 26-year-old Ryan Shelton moved in with her parents before the lockdown after learning she was pregnant. Soon thereafter, she noticed her lover and her mom were becoming oddly close.

Jess said she become “uncomfortable”after seeing her mother be “touchy-feely” with him.

Fast forward to January 28, Jess gave birth to baby Reuben at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Ryan sent her a text message saying that he’s splitting up with her and is moving away with Georgina.

Jess shared:

“It’s a horrible thing mom has done. This whole thing has had a massive impact on Dad. Ryan has cheated on me at least three times before. It’s hilarious that they think they’ve got this strong relationship. She’s welcome to him.”

Angry netizens are labelling Ryan as “the worst dad ever.”

Meanwhile, Georgina only said about the affair:

“These things happen. We can’t help who we fall in love with.”

Ryan, on the other hand, defended:

“I don’t care what everyone thinks, I am in love with Georgina and I don’t care who knows about it. Other people’s opinions don’t bother me at all. I know what’s happened. There are two sides to every story and I know the truth behind all this. Not everyone will like what’s happened but it’s none of their business.”
