One good example is a Siberian Husky which may have a very fierce look but a huggable fur that can withstand temperatures from -58 to -76 degrees Fahrenheit. Apparently, the coats of these winter wanderers are made up of two layers—first with a thick undercoat and second with a longer topcoat comprising of both short and straight guard hairs. (Source)
