"I think he can be the uniter that people are looking for"
In a recent interview, professional wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has declared that he would “consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.”
Now fellow retired wrestler The Undertaker is expressing his support, saying The Rock could be “the uniter that people are looking for.”
55-year-old Mark Callaway, also known as The Undertaker, said about Johnson possibly turning into politics:
“That man works his tail off and he dives in wholeheartedly in everything that he does and if he gets his mindset that he wants to make a run at politics, ya know what? I think he’ll do it.”
Furthermore, Callaway even suggested that The Rock could actually be a factor in uniting a divided country. He added:
“He’s so charming, he’s so witty, I think he can be the uniter that people are looking for. I know that he has the charisma,” he said.
Johnson, who is 44 years old, shared he would only decided to run for president if there is strong public clamor for it.
As he previously remarked:
“A year ago, it started coming up more and more. There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.’”
The Rock endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 elections, although he was a registered Republican. He also voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. In 2000, he attended both the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention.
