Women Are Paying Up To $9000 For Cosmetic Surgery To Get ‘Designer Vagına’

What is the Designer Vagina trend and will it improve your sex life?

Women these days are more willing to pay for cosmetic surgeries just to look better. There’s the breast enlargement surgery, lip and cheek fillers, as well as butt enhancements. And then there’s also this surgery that rejuvenates the vagına.

Cosmetic surgery, apparently, has moved further south and women’s lady bits have become the main focus. It used to be that Kegel exercises are performed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and somehow tighten the vagına but this has been updated into a surgical procedure of vagınal tightening. As women are on the quest to achieve physical perfection, the cosmetic surgery industry has started to offer “designer vagınas.”

Apparently, there’s a trend for “designer vagınas.”

According to cosmetic specialist Dr. Stephen Lowe, women are exploring options that would rejuvenate their lady parts. Lowe added that frustration and embarrassment are sustaining the trend.

“Many women are unhappy about the feel and appearance of their genital region, especially after the delivery of a baby, which can have a significant effect on their self-esteem and sex lives. Sometimes it’s a ‘renovation’ that women seek after different life stages.”

At times, going for surgery to make changes on the vagına doesn’t have to do with post-fertility issues or medical reasons.

Some simply go for vagınal surgery for aesthetic purposes.

Lowe says some of their clients are not satisfied with how their lady parts look that they would go for a procedure called labiaplasty, or removal of the excess skin outside the vagına.

This procedure is said to cost between $3,500 and $5,000. The latest statistics from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery showed a rise in labiaplasty by 45 percent. Another procedure called vaginoplasty is starting to become publicized. This procedure, which costs between $5,000 and $8,000, makes the interior canal smaller, which equates to a tighter vagına and more satisfying sex.

There are also less invasive alternatives like lasers that don’t require surgery.

Lowe explains the procedure below.

‘A small probe is inserted into the vagına and either laser or radio frequency (RF) heat energy is used to heat the tissue, to stimulate the production of collagen and improve the vagınal skin blood supply, helping the normal skin folds that line the vagına become more elastic and tight. This treatment is ideal for post-natal and post-menopausal women, makes sexual intercourse more comfortable and enjoyable and is virtually painless.’

Designer vagınas don’t only appeal to mothers. Any woman can go for the surgery as part of their anti-ageing goal. With these procedures becoming more known to more women, it looks like maintenance for the private lady parts has involved more than just soap and water.
