Groom Left With £25,000 Bill After Wife-to-Be Dumped Him For Lesbian Lover

Mark Andrew

Preparing for a wedding is always an amazing experience. You will feel more and more excited as the day of the ceremony draws closer. Unless, of course, something tragic happens along the way.

Meet 24-year-old Adam Vickers who was scheduled to marry his childhood sweetheart Laura O’Callaghan, also 24, until things took a turn for the ugly just six weeks before the wedding.

Now Adam is left to pay for the wedding bill worth £25,000 (or over $31,000 in USD).

What was the bride-to-be’s reason for dumping him, you ask? Well, she left him for a lesbian lover!

Adam and Laura have been together as a couple for 10 years.

Their wedding preparations have been underway and so they’ve already paid for a good venue, sent out invites, hired a photographer and a DJ, and even booked a Thailand honeymoon.

Unfortunately, Adam later discovered that his dearly beloved has been cheating on him with Sinead Keziah. The big day’s cancellation led Adam into depression and things got worse when he eventually saw photos of Laura and her new girlfriend on Facebook.

Making matters worse, Adam is now left with the wedding bill and is trying to sell items on Gumtree to pay for all of it.

Adam shared:

“It came as a huge shock. We had been together for ten years and I never suspected she was a lesbian.

“I tried to keep my emotions in but everything was crashing down around me. I was absolutely devastated. I never thought she would lie to me like that.

“I was bothered about losing the money but the main thing was Laura. We had been together for ten years and I adored her.

“The first time I realized what was going on was when I was on holiday the week we had planned to get married. I booked a trip to Tenerife to get away…”

Laura eventually blocked Adam on social media but friends later sent him photos of her and Sinead together.

Adam admitted:

“That’s when it clicked. I felt physically sick in my stomach. I was gutted.. I couldn’t help thinking it was down to me not being good enough.

“I never suspected that she liked women. She was affectionate and everything was normal. She never expressed any interest in girls.

“It totally broke my heart. We had been planning the wedding for months.

“We were going to get ready and then go to the church and get married. All our family and friends were going to be there. It was supposed to be the dream day.

“If she had just come out and said how she felt it would have been easier. What she did instead was evil.”

Adam and Laura first met back in 2007 at Newlands Catholic School. They attended prom together, went on luxury holidays, and made a lot of plans such as picking names for their future kids.

Meanwhile, Laura, a nursing student, eventually developed a close friendship with a colleague named Sinead.

Adam reflected:

“Looking back when I know what happened I started piecing things together. Laura’s body was there but her head was elsewhere.

“She was talking about Sinead a lot but it blew over my head because I’m laid back.

“We all met up once – me, Laura, Sinead and a boy she was seeing. She seemed up front and confident. We were all chatting.

“I thought she seemed fun but I didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t know what was going on behind my back.”
