6 Celebrities Who Really Think That the Earth is Flat

Are they trolling or simply stupid?

We first learned about the Earth and everything about it since we were kids. Particularly, we learned that it is round and orbits the Sun. But as the years go by, some people have challenged these facts. They claim that the planet we live on is flat.

The number of these individuals has increased over time, and they mostly consist of celebrities. At first, you would think that they are bluffing or something. Later on, however, you would see just how serious they are with their claims. They are so serious that you could not help but wonder: “Are they even for real?”

So, without further ado, here are some of the celebrities who have jumped on the flat Earth bandwagon. Check them out!

#1. Kyrie Irving

He might be a great basketball player, but it does not mean his smart enough to know that the Earth is round. Heck, he even once said that this thing is “not even a conspiracy theory.” He is among those celebrities who questioned NASA’s works, suggesting that the space agency cannot provide any substantial evidence as to whether or not the planet is round.

#2. Shaquille O’Neal

Just like Irving, the Diesel also believes that the Earth is flat. He even took to social media to air his belief, though it did not encourage other people really. Nonetheless, Shaq – along with Irving – is just one of the many NBA players who believe that the planet is nowhere close to being round.

#3. B.o.B

The titular rapper is actually pretty adamant about the idea that the Earth is flat. It all started with a string of tweets, all seemingly supporting the idea of the planet’s flatness.

He was quoted saying:

A lot of people are turned off by the phrase ‘flat earth’ … but there’s no way u can see all the evidence and not know… grow up.”

He was not done, though. He added:

No matter how high in elevation you are… the horizon is always eye level … sorry cadets… I didn’t wanna believe it either.”

His claims are so disturbing – and hilarious – that even the great astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson took a step to debunk the artist’s theories.

#4. Tila Tequila

Many will agree that Tila Tequila is just making noise to gain popularity. Still, she is making noise. In fact, she even challenged people to provide her with an evidence proving that the Earth is indeed round.

She tweeted:

I WILL STOP MY #FLATEARTH TALK IF SOMEONE CAN SEND ME A GOD DAMN PHOTO OF THE HORIZON WITH A CURVATURE!”

#5. Freddie Flintoff

Flintoff is a popular figure in the UK. He is quite famous for being a cricketer, who was instrumental in bringing the defeat of Australia in the 2005 Ashes series. But like most of the athletes on this list, this guy is not good at science. He once discussed in a podcast that the Earth was not round and asked the question:

If you’re in a helicopter and you hover, why does the Earth not come to you if it’s round?”

Unfortunately for this dude right here, the answer is pretty simple: Relativity. Even a kindergarten can debunk him easily.

#6. Sherri Shepard

Sherri is famous for being a comedian, but her fame rose quickly after making hard comments about the Earth’s shape. And yes, she, too, believes that the planet is flat.

I don’t know. I never thought about it Whoopi. Is the world flat? I never thought about it. I tell you what I thought about, how I’m going to feed my child.”

She later claimed that she was only joking and that she did not really think the Earth was flat. Well, either way, the damage has been done.

There are a lot of evidence and/or proofs suggesting that the Earth is indeed round. You just have to really stick on the side of science – and it is not a hard thing to do.
