CDC’s Zombie Preparedness Guide Aims To Help You Survive Real-Life Apocalypse

"You may laugh now but when (a zombie apocalypse) happens, you'll be happy you read this," the guide said.

  • French astrologer Nostradamus predicted a zombie apocalypse happening in 2021.
  • The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a ‘Zombie Preparedness’ guide that aims to help people survive if the undead starts attacking.
  • “You may laugh now, but when it happens you’ll be happy you read this,” the guide said.

Think 2020 sucked? Well according to famous French astrologer Nostradamus, there will be a zombie apocalypse in 2021.

Whether you believe that prediction or not, the truth is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) wants you to be prepared for it. In fact, the American health institute actually has a ‘Zombie Preparedness’ guide to help people survive a real-life apocalypse.

You know, just in case it actually happens.

How do we actually survive a zombie apocalypse? CDC has the answers!

As the official website tells us:

“There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for. Take a zombie apocalypse for example… you may laugh now, but when it happens you’ll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency.”

It pays to be prepared…

First off, CDC is encouraging households to have their own emergency kits composed of water, non-perishable food, medications, tools and supplies, sanitation and hygiene, clothing and bedding, important documents, and first aid supplies.

“If zombies did start roaming the streets, CDC would conduct an investigation much like any other disease outbreak,” the guide also continued. “CDC would provide technical assistance to cities, states, or international partners… [like] consultation, lab testing and analysis, patient management and care, tracking of contacts, and infection control (including isolation and quarantine).”
