Boy Hijacks Talent Show Performance To Sing ‘Star Wars’ Imperial March

Darth Vader would be proud!

  • A little boy decided to outshine the group performance by singing ‘The Imperial March’ at a talent show.
  • Star Wars fans couldn’t get enough of the adorable rendition of Darth Vader’s iconic theme.
  • Star Wars actor Mark Hamill certainly loved the performance and has a hilarious reaction to the video.

The idea of talent shows can either be exciting or nerve-wracking for children but one little boy decided that it was the best way to confirm that he has joined the Dark Side of the Force. He decided to hijack a group performance where the kids were supposed to sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. His song of choice was Darth Vader’s ‘The Imperial March’ from the Star Wars films and not surprisingly, actor Mark Hamill approves.

The awesome video was shared by Twitter user Erin Gibson (@actuallyerin) on social media. It reportedly shows her cousin’s son having to perform ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ along with a group of other children at a talent show in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, Erin’s nephew took advantage of the situation when the microphone was placed close to him and he decided to sing ‘The Imperial March’. Needless to say, it’s an adorable and hilarious tribute to Star Wars and its iconic antagonist Darth Vader.

According to Erin, she likes to watch the video when she needs a good laugh. Not surprisingly, people were loving the little boy’s rendition of the legendary theme.

It didn’t take long before the video was noticed by none other than Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies. Hamill, who is known for his quirky posts on Twitter, immediately retweeted the post along with a hilarious caption.

‘The Imperial March’ is also known as ‘Darth Vader’s Theme’ and was first introduced in the film The Empire Strikes Back. It is usually played when the Sith Lord enters a scene but has also been used when the Emperor Palpatine arrived on the Death Star in Return of the Jedi. It’s undoubtedly one of the best known symphonic movie themes that is connected to a particular character.

Find out if ‘The Imperial March’ will be played yet again when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres this December.
