Angry Mom Cancels Baby Shower After Friends ‘Talk Sh*t’ About Her Baby’s Name

"No, I am not mentally unstable. No, I was not drunk when I named my child.”

Naming a baby is one of the most exciting parts of pregnancy. In most cases, parents do their best to pick a nice name that would be most meaningful for their child.

And then there are those we really aren’t too sure about. Case in point, one angry woman recently went viral after announcing she’s canceling her upcoming baby shower. According to her, her friends have been “talking sh*t” about her baby.

The furious mom shared the reason behind her son’s unique name in a lengthy Facebook rant.

She wrote:

“His name is Squire Sebastian Senator. That is that. You cannot force me to change his name. This is that name I was meant to give him. No, that is not his full name.

“’Squire Sebastian Senator’ is only his first name. This is how it will be. He will not be allowed to have a nickname, he is to be called by his full and complete first name.”

Is she serious about it, you ask? Well you bet your life she is!

She further added:

“We come from a long lasting family of both squires and senators. If you look back in our family tree, the survival of this clan is literally rooted in squiredom. We are all related to senators too. This name conveys power. It conveys wealth. It conveys success.”

As if that wasn’t enough, the mother also slammed some common, “boring” baby names out there.

“My baby’s name WILL be a revolution. It will push people to question everything. Why name your baby boring and over-used names like Joshua, Brian, Sam, Nick, Mark, Bella, Marina, etc… when you can name it something special.”

As anyone would expect, netizens had a field day commenting about the controversial post.

One Reddit user pointed out:

“No one’s talking sh*t about your unborn baby. They’re talking sh*t about your poor naming choices.”

Another offered:

“I’ll say the same thing I tell any friend who gets pregnant: before you settle on a name, imagine growing up with it yourself.”

Meanwhile, someone countered:

“Why name your child something boring? Because I’d like to not damn my unborn kid to school bullying and his job applications going right into the trash.”
