A Better Sense Of Smell Could Make Your Sex Life More Pleasurable, Study Says

The keener your sense of smell, the more you enjoy sex.

A good sense of smell could make your sex life better. In fact, people who shared the ability may enjoy sex and orgasm more, according to a new study.

In a new study, German scientists found that people with a keener sense of smell enjoy sex more.

For ladies, this would mean they can experience more enjoyable orgasms.

To land to their findings, scientists studied the sensitivity to an odor of 42 women and 28 men between the ages of 18 and 36. They used “Sniffin’ Sticks” which measures the level at which people can detect an odorous chemical.

The scientists asked questions about each of the respondent’s sex life.

Meanwhile, the researchers asked several questions related to sexual experiences like how often they experience an orgasm or how much they enjoy sex. They were also asked about their sexual desire and performance, which pertains to how often or long they had sex.

The analysis found no correlation between odor sensitivity and sexual desire or sexual performance.

Interestingly, a higher sensitivity to odor did correlate positively with sexual experience.

The results in a new study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior shows that odor had no effect on sexual desire and performance but when a person has a higher sensitivity to odors, they had better sexual experience.

The authors of the study said:

“The experience of sexual interactions appears to be enriched by olfactory input.”

“The perception of certain body odors may contribute to the concept of sexual pleasure by enhanced recruitment of reward areas.”

They likewise added:

“The perception of body odors such as vaginal fluids, sperm, and sweat seems to enrich the sexual experience.”

Still, the research has its limitations. For instance, external factors could play a pivotal role in sexual arousal. The results of the study just showed the correlation between the sense of smell and sexual enjoyment.

A Photographer’s Chilling Capture Of Ukraine’s Serial Killers’ Gazes

I won’t mind staying out of their line of sight, please.

Independent photographer David Tesinsky, known for depicting controversial and unusual social topics through his photo series, embarked on another evocative photo-documentary, this time, in a prison in Kharkiv, east of Ukraine. Those who have seen his latest photos describe the portraits chilling.

Tesinsky, writing in an article entitled “I’ve Photographed the Gaze of Serial Killers In A Prison In Ukraine”, shared that the Kharkiv jail had more leeway for those incarcerated. The penitentiary for the worst criminals in Ukraine allows weddings of prisoners inside its walls, provides TV for each convict and offers a room for rent for those who want private time with their lovers.

Together with Ukrainian journalist Oleksiy Naumenko, Tesinsky photographs the looks of evil. Locked behind bars, his camera captures the faces of men and women convicted of killing strangers, policemen and family members - one of them guilty of murdering 29 people.

Check this gallery and gaze into the eyes of these killers, all of whom are serving life sentences.
