8 Common Items That Effectively Remove Blood Stains

These household items could save your soiled clothes.

Whatever the situations might be, at some point in your life you’ll get blood on your clothing or sheets. Wet or dry, removing blood stains has always been a challenge.

Trying to remove blood stains while they’re still wet is the easiest one to do. But just in case it gets a little bit too hard to remove, here are eight common items that you can use to remove them effectively.

1. Vinegar

Vinegar poured directly on the stain is one of the most effective methods to clean blood. Blot until the stain is removed and rinse with water to remove the vinegar smell. Or you can soak in for 5-10 minutes to remove stubborn blood stains.

2. Ammonia

Ammonia works better to lift the old set-in blood stains from clothes. When you work with ammonia, it is a good idea to wear gloves and use it in a ventilated area. It’s best to wash the garment immediately after treating.

Cola can clean blood stains from fabrics and clothes easily, thanks to carbonic and phosphoric acid ingredients. Simply take a bottle of cola and pour it directly on the stain and let it soak for a few hours, the more, the better.
