15 Clever Brand Logos With Hidden Words And Symbols

I gotta say these are interesting. I never noticed #5 and #11 before!

Logos play a crucial role in marketing a business. It serves as a company’s graphical representation and so, when done right, it draws people to the services or products offered by the brand. It becomes an icon – a memorable visual symbol of a company.

Sometimes though, designers get a little sneaky and try to throw in certain words and symbols to give greater meaning to company logos. Most of us may not notice this but it is intentionally and artistically done, with consent from the company for the most part.

Suffice it to say that they’re actually pretty fascinating. Check out the photos below and see for yourself:

1. Toyota

It may not look obvious for casual observers but yes, Toyota's logo has all the letters of their company name. So creative, right?

2. Toblerone

Sure, some of us may already know about the hidden bear on the logo. The name of the chocolate itself, however, has Bern – the Swiss city where the product is made.

3. Tour De France

Yes, that's a biker right there in the logo.

4. Fed Ex

Now this one's my favorite. Only those with very keen eyes will notice this – a hidden arrow between E and X which symbolizes forward momentum and efficiency.

5. Beats

That red circle is actually a person wearing Beats headphones, as you can see on the illustration here.

6. Amazon

Most of us probably thought it was nothing but a smile. Well, guess what – the arrow points from A to Z which means you'll find everything in this online shopping site.

7. Baskin Robbins

Known for their 31 different flavors, Basin Robbins brilliantly managed to include the number in their logo.

8. Quiksilver

The logo is a stylized version of the famous The Great Wave Off Kanagawa.

9. Hyundai

We are told that the logo is of two guys shaking hands, one represents the car dealer and the other, the customer.

10. Pinterest

Of course, the P in Pinterest symbolizes a pin.

11. Levi's

12. LSO

The letters combine to symbolize an orchestra conductor.

13. Unilever

The brand's logo shows various symbols of sustainable living.

14. NorthWest Airlines

The letters N and W combined into one.

15. Galeries Lafayette

The two T's combine and form the Eiffel Tower.
