LA Cops Confiscate Fake ID With President Duterte’s Photo

  • According to authorities, the said license bore the picture of President Rodrigo Duterte.
  • LAPD posted about the story on Twitter and wrote “Nice try,” adding a laughing emoji.

Cops from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in California, USA have seized a fake driver’s license from a person after they saw that that the card bore the picture of President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to reports, vice police officers from the LAPD Rampant easily recognized that the man on the photo was actually the president of the Philippines. The station eventually shared about it on Twitter last March 10.

Part of the caption read:

“Good thing our Officers patrol Historic Filipino Town and are up to speed. Nice try.”

As can be seen in the photo below, the ID featured a smirking President Duterte. The full name and other personal details of the fake license’s owner have been removed, the sex, hair color, height, and weight are still visible. On top of that, we see a “Norman D” signature below Duterte’s picture and that the address is Glendale, California.

Eventually, netizens had mixed reactions to the story. Some took time to praise the officers’ wit and humor while others reminded that Duterte has always openly expressed his dislike of America so it’s possible for him to even go there.
